Petty’s Garage and Military AutoSource Announce New Warrior Mustang

Exclusive Build to Benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America and
Sell to U.S. Troops Overseas

LEVEL CROSS, N.C. (May 26, 2017) – Petty’s Garage, in partnership with Military AutoSource, a subsidiary of Overseas Military Sales Corporation, today announced a new Warrior edition Ford Mustang during an unveiling at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, hosted by “The King” Richard Petty.  The one-of-a-kind, high performance Mustangs will be sold exclusively to the military community stationed on U.S. bases outside the United States.
The Petty’s Garage Warrior Edition Mustang is specifically built and designed for our nation’s heroes. The 670 horsepower Mustangs feature a Magnaflow cat back exhaust and a slew of Petty’s Garage features including a race inspired spoiler, leather interior with the Warrior logo, Ford Performance lower springs and more.  Each Mustang will have a Warrior edition dash badge for “The King’s” authentic autograph.
The first line of Warrior Ford Mustangs by Petty’s Garage will be custom built and available exclusively through Military AutoSource.  Military AutoSource has partnered with some of the leading names in vehicle customization and performance to craft vehicles that are not only unique, but also reflect the spirit of leadership and excellence that exemplify our military.  Military AutoSource is committed to providing access, value, and benefits to those who serve, and the Warrior program is an extension of this mission.

“We are truly excited to be partnering with the Petty team to add a Petty’s Garage edition to our Warrior vehicle program,” says Steve Frisch, Military AutoSource’s Senior Vice President.  “The Petty’s Garage commitment to create an ownership and driving experience that is both memorable and personal, is completely aligned with our mission.  We know our troops are going to love this Mustang and can’t wait to bring it to them.”
Petty is proud to offer this new line of Warrior Mustangs for those who serve abroad.
“Our family makes a living out of racing and high performance cars, but none of that would not possible without the men and women who fight every day for our freedom,” said Petty, Owner of Petty’s Garage.  “Our partnership with Military Autosource allows us to offer specialty-built Ford Mustangs to our men and women serving overseas.  We feel confident they are going to enjoy them.”
A portion of proceeds from each Petty’s Garage Warrior Ford Mustang vehicle sold will benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America.  Paralyzed Veterans of America, a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of their members – veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction. The Petty family have been longtime supporters of the efforts of Paralyzed Veterans to support our nation’s veterans following catastrophic injury.

Thad Moffitt, Grandson of Richard Petty, to Make ARCA Debut This Weekend

Thad Moffitt, Grandson of Richard Petty, to Make ARCA Debut This Weekend

Empire Racing Group with Richard Petty Motorsports to Enter Moffitt with Support from Transportation Impact and Hostetler Ranch

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 4, 2017) – In partnership with Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM), Empire Racing Group (ERG) will enter Thad Moffitt in Saturday’s ARCA Music City 200 presented by the Azure Foundation at the storied Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee. Moffitt, the grandson of “The King” Richard Petty, will make his first start in the national touring series.

Moffitt will drive the No. 46 Petty Blue Ford with primary sponsorship from Transportation Impact and associate sponsorship from Hostetler Ranch, Performance Plus, Jacob Construction, Design and Technology- all partners of Moffitt throughout his young career. Moffitt, the 2016 Southeast Limited Late Model Champion, has been racing a NASCAR late model with ERG this year. Before last Saturday’s race at Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Speedway, Moffitt spent time in Nashville testing the ARCA car. After the test, the Petty family and ERG Crew Chief Mike Cheek felt that Moffitt was ready for this weekend’s race.

Following in His Family’s Footsteps

“Thad has a lot of passion to follow in the footsteps of his family,” said Cheek. “He has won a championship in a limited late model and in just a few races in a NASCAR late model, he has shown his talents. He did well during the ARCA test, and no matter the result, this will be great experience at a young age.”

Moffitt is a 16-year-old native from Trinity, N.C. and is the son of Brian and Rebecca Petty-Moffitt. He started racing a go-kart and a quarter midget before moving to a limited late model and late model. A high school sophomore, Moffitt grew up going to the track with his grandfather and watching his uncle Kyle and cousin Adam race. He also understands the business side of racing, learning daily from his father, Brian, who leads Richard Petty Motorsports as the CEO. His passion is being behind the wheel and carrying on the family tradition.

“I love racing, being at the track and just learning and trying to get better each race,” said Moffitt. “The ERG team has been great and I’ve had a lot of fun with them in the late model. They have a good ARCA program and I really wanted to make my debut in this series. A lot of great drivers have raced in ARCA, and Uncle Kyle and Adam have both won in this series. It makes me really want to follow in their footsteps. But, this is a learning process, too. I’m excited and ready, but I have a lot to learn. I just want to stay out of trouble and have a good race for everyone who supports me such as Transportation Impact, Jacob Companies, Performance Plus and Hostetler Ranch. We can’t do it without them.”

Saturday’s race will be televised live on MAVTV beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET.

In 2016, ERG will be serving as the developmental team for Richard Petty Motorsports, providing young drivers with driver coaching, technical support, public relations, and marketing needs.
